I am married to my favorite person, Paul. We have been married for 21 years and have two amazing boys together: Jackson-17, and Walker-14. My husband and I have been building homes in the OKC metro for over 13 years, and it is an honor to create houses that turn into homes for the families who buy them. I am an avid reader, I love working out, find great joy in cooking/baking all things from scratch, I love making lists and marking things off when complete, and I treasure making our home a safe and warm place for my family. My favorite place to be is with my three guys, and together we love to travel. I believe traveling is one of the greatest experiences one can have in life. I fell in love at a very young age with travel by watching Rick Steve’s Travels in Europe as a young girl and taking many road trips with my family. I loved seeing new things and places and learning about the way other people lived-even if it was just one state away from me. It fascinated me. My first ‘big’ trip was indeed a big one: I had the opportunity to go to Europe at 16 years old to sing my way around 4 countries over 10 days. My mom went as a chaperone, so we got to experience Europe together for the first time. This trip changed me. I saw history older than my home country. I heard new languages spoken for the first time. I tasted new foods, heard new sounds, saw new things, and met new people who were both so different and so similar to me. This was the experience that made me a forever traveler. I love going somewhere new and diving into that culture to experience life as a local lives. I believe travel is one of the greatest ways to learn about people and cultures, and it has a unique way of showing us how connected the world actually is. Travel also allows families the opportunity to connect on a deeper level than sometimes is possible in everyday life at home. It allows us to shut out the demands of routine life and just be together making memories. Things can be great gifts, but experiencing the world through travel together will produce lifelong memories that will never expire, wear out, or be forgotten. I have been so fortunate to travel quite a bit with my family, and I know firsthand what it has meant to my boys through the years.
